Tripti Jha

Tripti Jha joined Sandoz as Chief People Officer as of May 2023. In this role, she is responsible to deliver the People & Organization (P&O) strategy together with a team of talented employees across P&O. She has taken the organization through a successful spin-off and is focused on setting up Sandoz as a successful standalone organization by building a strong culture and delivering value to the business. She brings over 22 years of experience in Human Resources/Healthcare, enabling business impact through talent/leadership, large scale organizational change and transformations. Before joining Sandoz, she was with Novartis in roles of increasing responsibilities since 2004. Most recently, she was the Chief Talent and Transformation Officer, reporting directly into the Chief People Officer as a member of the Novartis People & Organization (P&O) Leadership team. She was responsible for spearheading the Novartis Talent Strategy and ensuring that Novartis has competitive talent and skills to execute the business strategy. She brings extensive experience in working with the Executive Committee of Novartis and Board of Directors. She also oversaw a large part of the P&O function including Organization Transformations and Development, Learning & Leadership development, Global Employee Relations, P&O for HQ/Switzerland, and People Services, Analytics and Technology globally. In addition to her role, Tripti also led the Global P&O response to the pandemic from 2020-2021. Previously, Tripti held various Senior Global and Country/Site P&O positions within Novartis Pharma, Novartis Business Services and Novartis Group. Prior to joining Novartis, Tripti worked with CARE – a leading humanitarian global organization with a purpose to fight poverty and achieve social justice by empowering women and girls. Originally from India, Tripti has lived and worked in several countries including Switzerland, India and Russia. She graduated with a Master of Arts in social work (specializing in Social Welfare Admin/ Public Policy) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. Curious by nature, Tripti is purpose and performance driven. She is passionate about leading and creating measurable impact through people. Tripti came to Basel in 2003, where she lives with her husband and two daughters. She enjoys being in the mountains, running, reading, cooking and purposeful travelling. Tripti is multilingual and speaks four languages including English, Hindi, German and Bengali.
